Spain's conservatives lose majority in Andalusia, need Vox to govern

Spain's conservative People's Party (PP) lost its absolute majority in the Andalusian regional election, relying on the right-wing populist Vox party to govern. The PP won 53 seats in the parliament, falling short of the 55 seats needed for an absolute majority. Vox gained one seat, bringing their total to 15 lawmakers. The campaign focused on issues such as inflation, healthcare, unemployment, housing shortages, and migration, with Andalusia's jobless rate standing at around 15%, about 5.5 percentage points above the Spanish average.
