SpeakOn’s dictation device is a good idea marred by platform limitations

A dedicated device for dictation, SpeakOn, is available for iPhone users. The device, which weighs 25 grams, can stick to the back of an iPhone via MagSafe and comes with a companion app on iOS. It has one mic and can capture audio within 2 feet of distance, automatically filtering speech and formatting text output. However, the device's mic performance is inconsistent, often underperforming due to surrounding noise.
