Humayun Kabir has launched the Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AUJP) after being suspended by the TMC. He is contesting the Bengal polls on two seats: Rejinagar and Naoda. Kabir, a former TMC leader, enjoys considerable influence in the Muslim-majority region and previously won the Bengal polls from Bharatpur constituency in Murshidabad district on a TMC ticket. His party will make a debut in the upcoming election polls.
