Strait of Hormuz shipping traffic almost at a standstill, UN says

Shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has come to a virtual standstill since February, with a significant decrease in ship transits. Commodity food prices have risen by 6% and the crude oil price for Europe has risen by 53% since then. The blockade has caused major disruptions to global trade, sending energy prices soaring and sparking frantic measures to prevent fuel shortages.
