Strategic partnership: India, Sweden upgrade bilateral ties

India and Sweden have upgraded their relations to a strategic partnership to drive cooperation in areas such as defence, technology, and emerging technologies. The partnership aims to advance on key pillars including defence, green transition, and people-to-people ties. Discussions also focused on building on the India-European Union free trade agreement to shore up trade and investment. The two sides have agreed to launch a joint innovation partnership and enhance their political dialogue on security and defence.
