Tamil Nadu election 2026: Salem North constituency residents demand shifting of two TASMAC outlets

Salem North constituency was created in 2008 after delimitation, including wards of Salem Corporation and the Kannankurichi town panchayat. It is represented by a Tourism Minister and is considered a DMK stronghold in the district. The DMK has won twice in the constituency's three elections since its formation, with the DMDK winning once in the AIADMK alliance.
