Scientists have discovered a new species of pit viper in Sichuan province, China, named Trimeresurus lii. The Huaxi green pit viper showcases distinct physical traits and DNA analysis confirms its uniqueness. It features sexual dimorphism with males having red and white stripes and amber eyes, while females have a single yellow stripe and orange-yellow eyes, growing up to 30 inches in length.
