The RAM shortage could last years

Suppliers are ramping up DRAM production, but manufacturers are expected to meet only 60 percent of demand by the end of 2027. The world's largest memory makers, including Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron, are adding new fabrication capacity, but most of it will not be online until at least 2027 or 2028. This shortage is affecting consumer electronics, leading to price increases for items like phones, laptops, and gaming handhelds.
