TMC’s Mamata faction accuses rebel MPs of trying to engineer split

The Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress camp has accused rebel Lok Sabha MPs of lacking "political morality and ethics" and termed them opportunists for trying to engineer a split. The TMC faction alleges that the rebel MPs are trying to form a bloc without following the law, which only permits merger with other parties. The rebel MPs have claimed to have submitted a letter to Speaker Om Birla for a separate sitting arrangement, but the authenticity of the letter is being questioned.
