Two women die in attempted Channel crossing from France to UK

Two women believed to be from Sudan have died while trying to cross from northern France to the United Kingdom in a small boat. The women were on board a boat carrying 82 people that set out to sea during the night but "the engine wouldn't start" and drifted, leading to the deaths. Seventeen people were rescued and taken to the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer, while 13 people with injuries were taken to hospital. An investigation is underway into the incident.
