US Congress passes bill to resume funding for DHS and end partial shutdown

A bill to resume funding for the Department of Homeland Security has been adopted by a voice vote, ending an 11-week partial government shutdown. The bill excludes Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection, but provides ample funding for other agencies through previously approved laws
