Vehicles stranded after avalanche hits Srinagar-Kargil highway

A snow avalanche hit the Kashmir-Ladakh national highway, leaving many vehicles stranded. Snow sheaths slid into a major avalanche at Shaitan Nallah, connecting Sonamarg in the Kashmir Valley with Drass in Ladakh. Several vehicles were hit by the avalanche, forcing the closure of traffic on the highway. One driver is reportedly missing after the avalanche.
