Vice-President calls for renewed commitment to equality, social justice in society

India's progress should draw strength from the ideals of great reformers and their consistent practice in daily life, Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan said. He described Bidar as a historic centre of learning and spiritual movements, recalling the enduring influence of Basaveshwara who opposed social discrimination and worked towards building an equal society.
