V-P Radhakrishnan: Women on the rise in civil services, hope Parliament follows suit

Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan hailed increased representation of women in civil services, expressing hope for similar progress in Parliament. He noted that the share of women has risen from around 21% to nearly 31% in recent years, with many holding senior positions. The Vice-President called for greater specialisation in civil services and urged states to adopt forward-looking recruitment policies to strengthen governance.
