West Bengal elections see bumper polling, but this state holds record for highest voting percentage

West Bengal has recorded its highest-ever voter turnout since Independence, surpassing states like Nagaland and Manipur with a turnout of 92.67 per cent. This figure marks a significant jump from the state's previous highest turnout of 84.72 per cent recorded in 2013. West Bengal's voter turnout still falls short of the national record held by Tripura, which has the highest ever recorded voter turnout of 93.61 per cent.
