Raghu Rai, a renowned Indian photographer and photojournalist, has passed away at the age of 84. Born in Jhang, Punjab, he began learning photography in 1962 and joined The Statesman newspaper in New Delhi as its chief photographer in 1965. Rai's work caught the attention of Henri Cartier-Bresson, who nominated him to join Magnum Photos in 1977, making him one of the agency's rare Indian members
