2 Indians aboard cruise ship with hantavirus cases evacuated to Netherlands

Two Indian crew members on board the MV Hondius have been evacuated to the Netherlands where they will be quarantined. The ship, which was anchored off the coast of the Canary Islands of Spain, had 59 crew members from 23 countries on board. Eight suspected cases of infection were reported, with five confirmed through laboratory tests. Three deaths have been reported, including an adult male and two adult females who developed symptoms after disembarking.
