₹20,000 fine imposed for sale of single-use plastic bags

Fines were imposed on various establishments in the Kaniyambetta panchayat area for selling single-use plastic carry bags. A fine of ₹10,000 each was collected from C.T.M Vegetables and Tara Kitchen Mart during an inspection conducted by the Wayanad District Enforcement Squad. The inspection was carried out by the squad leader, squad members, enforcement officers, and the panchayat health inspector.
