33 years on, 12 convicted in Gujarat arms smuggling case linked to Dawood

A special TADA court in Jamnagar has convicted 12 persons in a 1993 case involving the smuggling of arms and explosives along the Gujarat coast. The case is linked to fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his associates, who allegedly conspired to avenge the demolition of the Babri Masjid by smuggling arms and explosives into India via the sea route. The accused were booked under various sections of the TADA Act, the Indian Penal Code, and other laws.
