Tamil Nadu election 2026: Palaniswami is coasting along with PMK’s support in Edappadi

Edappadi constituency is a major farming area located 50 km from Salem city. It covers several town panchayats including Edappadi, Mettur, Konganapuram, Nangavalli, and Jalakandapuram, where weavers also reside. The constituency has seen the DMK win twice, while the AIADMK has won seven times, including five times by its general secretary, who is contesting from this seat.
