Tamil Nadu Assembly election 2026: Over 4,600 candidates in fray across State

The deadline for withdrawal of nominations in the Tamil Nadu Assembly election has ended. Over 4,600 candidates are in the fray. Besides the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance and the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance, Seeman's Naam Tamilar Katchi and actor-politician C. Joseph Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam are also contesting the election.
