BJP-ruled states respond with online meetings, slimmer fleets

In several BJP-ruled states, public appeals and orders have been issued in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for austerity measures. In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to save fuel and cut edible oil usage, while also ordering virtual meetings and public transport use. In Maharashtra, ministers require CM's approval for aircraft use, and most department meetings are conducted online. In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reduced the number of vehicles in his cavalcade and appealed to ministers to reduce petrol and diesel consumption.
