Courier, coaching belt and ‘private mafia’: Tracing the leaked NEET UG 2026 paper from Nashik to Gurugram

A network of at least 24 persons across several states has been mapped by investigators in connection with the leaked NEET UG 2026 paper. A third-year BAMS student from Nashik allegedly bought the paper for 10 lakh and sold it onward to a person in Gurugram for 15 lakh, both transactions conducted by courier. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken over the investigation and is expected to interrogate the accused, who is from Nashik and studying in Bhopal.
