Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz’ ‘The Mummy’ Movie Moves to 2027 as Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler’s ‘Miami Vice ’85’ Bumps to 2028

Universal is shifting release dates for two of its highly anticipated reboots. "Miami Vice '85" is moving to May 19, 2028, taking the previously announced release date for "The Mummy". "The Mummy" will now hit theaters on October 15, 2027. Production on "Miami Vice" will start later this year and be filmed for Imax. Universal has scheduled an untitled event film for August 6, 2027, and a new Blumhouse movie for October 8, 2027.
