Charging in 10 Minutes Might Soon Be Normal If China Has Its Way

China's electric vehicle industry is shifting focus from range to charging speed. Battery makers and automakers are targeting single-digit charging times, aiming to bring EV refueling closer to the convenience of internal combustion vehicles. Second-tier suppliers such as CALB Group, EVE Energy, and Sunwoda Electronic are leading this push with next-generation battery systems capable of charging from 10 per cent to 70 per cent in under 10 minutes.
