CJI Surya Kant recalls literary upbringing, his love for Hindi

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant delivered a keynote address in Hindi at the 8th memorial lecture of Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar. He fondly recalled his literary upbringing, crediting his father for instilling in him a deep love for Hindi, Sanskrit and Haryanvi literature. The CJI highlighted Dinkar's national thought, cultural consciousness and commitment to human values, describing him as a "yug-nirmata" or epoch-maker. Dinkar's epic 'Rashmirathi' was seen as embodying constitutional values, social justice and human dignity.
