Clarifai deleted 3 million photos it received from OkCupid to train its facial recognition AI. The company also deleted models trained using that data. OkCupid provided user-uploaded photos and demographic data to Clarifai in 2014, which was prohibited by OkCupid's own privacy policies. The FTC investigated and OkCupid and Match Group settled the lawsuit, agreeing not to misrepresent data collection and sharing practices.
