Congress' Pawan Khera now Rajya Sabha MP after being elected ‘unanimously’ with Kharge, others from Karnataka

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge was elected unanimously to the Rajya Sabha along with debutants Pawan Khera and Mansoor Ali Khan. The elections were held to fill four Rajya Sabha seats from Karnataka, as the terms of current members were ending. Initially, five candidates had filed nominations, but one independent candidate's nomination was rejected, leaving four candidates in the fray. They were declared elected unanimously, with Chief Minister DK Shivakumar congratulating them on their election.
