Cong’s J’khand RS nomination stirs row: JMM set to field for both seats

Fissures have emerged in the Congress-JMM alliance over Rajya Sabha elections in Jharkhand. JMM legislators have demanded that the party contest both seats, a day after the Congress announced its candidate for one seat. JMM leaders have stated that they will field candidates for both seats, with the party chief to finalise the names soon. The Congress claims to have the support of 56 legislators in the assembly, enough to ensure both candidates win.
