Delhi High Court pulls up police over allegations of illegal detention, torture of activists

The Delhi High Court pulled up the Delhi Police over alleged torture and illegal detention of certain activists, asserting that legal procedure must be followed even in cases involving grave allegations. A Bench of Justices asked the investigating agency to take consequent action, or the matter would be referred to the CBI.
