Voter turnout in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu has reached the highest levels since Independence. In West Bengal, 92.35% of voters participated in the latest phase, exceeding previous totals. Despite nearly 10% of names being deleted from voter lists, 33.2 million people voted, surpassing the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The highest turnout was recorded in Murarai at 96.95%, while Mekhliganj had the lowest at 82.12%.
