DMK leader KR Periakaruppan loses Assembly seat to TVK by a margin of 1 vote

DMK leader KR Periakaruppan has lost the Tiruppattur Assembly seat to Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam candidate R Seenivasa Sethupathy by a margin of one vote. Seenivasa Sethupathy secured 83,375 votes, while Periakaruppan secured 83,374 votes. The results were declared late on Monday after counting of votes from over 30 poll booths in the Tiruppattur seat.
