ECI announces tight security in 142 seats ahead of second phase of Bengal polls

The Election Commission of India has announced a strict security plan for West Bengal's second-phase polls, deploying central forces, motorcycles, CCTV cameras, and vulnerability mapping to prevent booth capture and intimidation across 142 constituencies. Security personnel will conduct constituency-wise deployment and area domination exercises to ensure voters can cast ballots safely without fear. Central forces will remain deployed at booths and unauthorised persons will be restricted within 100 metres of polling premises.
