France seeks to move beyond colonial ties by meeting African leaders in Kenya

French President is co-hosting the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, alongside his Kenyan counterpart. The summit aims to broaden Paris's partnerships and make investment deals on the continent. French President announced investments worth $27bn in Africa in areas such as energy transition, digital and AI, the maritime economy, and agriculture, which is expected to create jobs in Africa and France.
