German firefighters let wildfire burn across nature reserve

A forest fire is burning on a former military training site near Jueterbog, Germany, contaminated with ammunition. The fire has spread through an area of around 113 hectares in a nature reserve, home to rare animal species. Due to safety concerns, firefighters are unable to directly combat the blaze and are instead letting it continue to burn. Winds are expected to further spread the blazes before they can be brought under control.
