German parliament extends Bundeswehr missions in the Balkans

Germany's parliament has approved a one-year extension of the Bundeswehr's deployment in Kosovo under the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR) mission. The German Armed Forces will continue to participate in two international missions in the Balkans, including the KFOR mission in Kosovo and the EU mission EUFOR Althea in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Kosovo mission is the Bundeswehr's longest-running overseas deployment, with a role to ensure stability in the country.
