Germany drops cuts to integration courses for Ukrainians, EU citizens

The German government has agreed to make integration courses available to refugees from Ukraine and EU citizens for free. Places in the courses will be made available as part of a national quota based on the available budget. However, asylum-seekers and other migrants will not be allowed to attend the courses. The standard courses comprise 600 hours of German lessons and 100 hours of orientation, costing around €3,000 per participant.
