‘Hawala operator’ tied to jailed conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar held after deportation from Dubai

The Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing has arrested a key associate of conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, identified as Navas Kakkat Ismail, alias Navas KI, who was operating as a "hawala operator" for Chandrasekhar. Navas KI was deported from Dubai and taken into custody upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. He is accused of managing the financial operations of Chandrasekhar's alleged criminal syndicate, laundering and transferring proceeds of crime through hawala channels. Further investigation is underway.
