Himanta wife passport row: Khera moves SC for anticipatory bail after setback from HC

Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera has moved to the Supreme Court after the Gauhati high court rejected his anticipatory bail plea in a defamation and forgery case registered by the Assam Police. The case was filed against Khera for claiming that Assam CM's wife holds multiple foreign passports and undisclosed assets abroad. Khera's counsel argued that he was not a flight risk and the case was politically motivated.
