HMWSSB introduces barcode tracking for water tankers

HMWSSB has introduced barcode tracking for its water tankers in Hyderabad to prevent misuse and improve monitoring. Barcode tracking is mainly to prevent misuse during tanker trips and ensure that tanker operations are monitored round the clock and carried out as intended. CCTV cameras are installed at every filling station and connected to the main office to track the movement of tankers.
