India extends OCI card eligibility in Sri Lanka to sixth generation

Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan announced the extension of Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card eligibility for the Indian community in Sri Lanka. The eligibility is now extended to the fifth and sixth generations of the diaspora, up from the previous limit of the fourth generation. OCI cards will be issued based on documents issued by the government of Sri Lanka.
