Indian Navy removes unexploded missile warhead from Kochi-bound oil tanker

The Indian Navy successfully completed a complex operation to recover and safely dispose of an unexploded missile warhead from a crude oil tanker. The Marshall Islands-flagged tanker MT Olympic Life was on passage from Fujairah, UAE, to Kochi when it reported an explosion in its hull off the coast of Oman. A specialist Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was deployed to assess the situation and safely extract the warhead, which was then transported to a secure facility for examination.
