TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee grilled by CID in signature forgery case

Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee was questioned by the West Bengal CID in Kolkata over alleged forgery of signatures in the party's resolution naming the Leader of Opposition. He appeared after receiving interim protection from the Calcutta High Court and was grilled for nearly six hours at the CID headquarters. Banerjee had skipped three previous appearance notices, citing illness and a challenge petition before the high court.
