Israeli defence contractor could acquire VW plant set to shut

Rafael, an Israeli defence company, is seeking to take over Volkswagen's Osnabrück plant in Germany. Talks are reportedly under way between Rafael and Volkswagen. The plant is expected to produce components for the Iron Dome air defence system, including heavy trucks and launch systems, under current plans. DND, Rafael's German subsidiary, is also expected to take over the site.
