I-T raids on Mamata’s proposer & TMC pick raise West Bengal poll heat

Income tax officials raided the residences and offices of TMC candidate Debashis Kumar and his proposer Miraj Shah in Kolkata, prompting the Bengal CM to call BJP "spineless cowards". The raids mark a significant escalation of the face-off between the Centre and the Banerjee-led TMC government. I-T officials searched and interrogated Kumar for nearly 15 hours, while also raiding his election office, mother-in-law's flat, and a TMC office nearby.
