IWT: India rejects ‘so-called’ arbitration award as ‘null and void’

India has rejected the award issued by the Court of Arbitration (CoA) regarding disputes with Pakistan over the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT). The Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson stated that India has never recognised the establishment of the CoA, making any proceeding or decision issued by it null and void. India's decision to hold the IWT in abeyance remains in force, as per the provisions of the treaty, which was signed after nine years of negotiations between India and Pakistan.
