KC Venugopal surges ahead in Kerala CM race: 7/10 support at key Rahul Gandhi meet

KC Venugopal is said to have gained significant support from most Kerala Congress leaders as the next Kerala CM. He is reportedly backed by several leaders, including five former presidents of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee and three KPCC working presidents. Leader of the opposition in the Kerala assembly, VD Sateeshan, received backing from two leaders, while one remained neutral. The name of senior leader Ramesh Chennithala seems to have gone out of contention in the Kerala CM race.
