Madras High Court stays case against BJP leader Annamalai over Muthuramalinga Thevar remarks

The Madras High Court has stayed all further proceedings in a criminal case against a former BJP State president. The case was pending before a judicial magistrate court in Salem for reportedly claiming that Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar warned of performing 'blood abhishekam' if atheists continued to insult theists. An interim stay has been granted, and notice has been ordered to the complainant.
