Mahua backs Abhishek amid nepotism jibes: 'Got first ticket due to Mamata, but has paid his dues'

Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra defended party national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee against allegations of nepotism. Mahua acknowledged that Abhishek received his first Lok Sabha ticket in 2014 due to his family connection to party chief but has since worked hard to justify his place in the party. She stated that Abhishek has been elected thrice, served as National General Secretary, and done organisational work for the party over the last 12 years, thus paying his dues.
