Man who lost parents, got hurt in drone attack recounts struggles of Operation Sindoor: ‘My parents are gone, I am all alone in world… Govt should not forget us’

A drone attack hit Jaswant Singh's village Khai Phemeki in Ferozepur, Punjab, leaving his parents seriously injured. His mother died two days later and his father succumbed to his injuries after a two-month battle. Jaswant was also injured in the attack and has been left with wounds that still hurt, making it difficult for him to walk fast. He now lives with his paternal uncles and manages the family's 5-acre land, but depends on labourers due to his injuries.
